The English Department at Basel University has a long tradition and regularly offers classes in the area of British Cultural Studies.

Thus, for more than ten years we have been offering the class “Aspects of British Culture”.

Moreover, Andrea Ochsner and Peter Burleigh are undertaking research in the areas of class and gender in British novels and films as well as sitcoms.
