'Fachdidaktik' [teacher training] English
Within the Department of English and American Studies the section 'Fachdidaktik' offers courses for students of all 'Lehramtsstudiengänge' [all courses that lead to becoming a teacher]. The wide spectrum of the curriculum is particularly attractive as it offers students of primary school teacher training a wide range of course options, it also offers training for the teaching at special needs schools. A combination of English and Economics is also available.

The didactic and methological education of the students includes training for the teaching of pupils of all age groups, didactics of language, literary and cultural studies, and theoretical and practical aspects of planning lessons. This integrative concept offers the advantage of a high degree of mutual feedback, which allows cooperations to develop which will reinforce the interdisciplinary discourse.
