Main research interests are in political culture, popular music, and popular literature (especially the James Bond phenomenon)

Research and teaching at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum is aimed at integrating literary and cultural studies, while trying to strike a balance between theory and its application to cultural 'texts' in the broadest sense.

There is a special interest in the following fields:

  • Drama and theatre, the era of restauration, death, representation of bodies,
  • Political culture, popular music, and popular literature (especially the James Bond phenomenon)
